Before your tan:
- Exfoliate and Moisturise 24 hours before your treatment, paying particular attention to your more dryer areas such as your elbows, knees, ankles, and any other areas you may need to pay attention to.
- Paint toenails and ails, especially if artificial.
- Wax or shave at least 48 hours prior to your treatment. This will allow time for your pores to close. If not you may experience some dotting in pores.
- 24 hours before your treatment avoid using bar soaps, high pH shower products or in shower moisturisers.
- Please don’t apply moisturisers, perfume make-up or deodorant on the day of your treatment.
- Wear loose dark clothing to your tan appointment.
After your tan:
- Wear dark loose clothing, underwear and too tight clothing will cause marks.
- Wear loose shoes such as thongs, or barefoot.
- Shower in lukewarm water for 1 minute, lukewarm only.
- Use water alone, avoid soaps, gels, scrubs, loofahs etc for at least the first 24/48 hours.
- Pat your body down dry after your shower.
- Avoid exercise and sweating for the first 24 hours after your treatment.
- Try to avoid touching your skin during development time. Your palms should be tan free.
- Moisturise your body morning and night.
- You can use gradual tanner afterwards to extend the life of your tan if needed.
- After 5 days you can lightly exfoliate with a soft body polish to help your skin absorb even more moisturiser to keep your skin glowing.
- Long exposure to water, sweating from exercise will fadd your spray tan. The longer you are in water the lighter your tan will get.
